After a stressful and lengthy wait, today I received my approval notice from USCIS (Immigration)... To get to this point has been one hell of a journey!... Quite often, people ask me "How did a Scotsman end up in Hawaii?". The short story would be:
Study Architecture > Get a J1 Visa and go to the US to work for a year to get experience to meet the requirements of my degree course > Live in Colorado for 9 months > Work slows down, but thanks to a classmate (Florence) with some contacts, I ended up in Hawaii > Extend Visa for another 8 months > Go back to Scotland to finish Architecture school > Graduate in summer '03 > Return to USA (Honolulu, HI) on a 3-year H1B Visa > Extend H1B Visa for 3 more years > Married > Apply for Permanent Residency (Greencard) > Get 2yr Conditional Permanent Residency > Divorced > Apply to USCIS to remove conditional status from my Permanent Residency > 5 months of stress > Receive approval of having conditions removed from my Permanent Residency (Today!)

Probably the most important letter I've ever received...
No more dealing with USCIS... Well, maybe in Spring 2012 when I'm eligible to apply for Citizenship!
